HISTORY OF THE HORSE RACING TIME SYSTEM

Originally developed as a paper based system in the 1950's, this horse racing time system has been aiding horse racing pundits and independent bookmakers every day for over 50 years, with information provided by a team led by three generations of the same family.

The system provides a rating on the chances of each horse participating in a race. This was previously invaluable to Bookmakers as it allowed them to use their judgement to 'stand' horses thus maximising their profits. Bookmakers can still benefit in this way from the system but with the advent of betting exchanges this strategy is now available to all clients.

In 1985, it was turned into a PC based system, to dramatically cut down on the large amount of time required, to capture the immense amount of data and also aid in the application of the time systems formulae when working out the resulting information the system provides.

This PC system had enhancements made to it in 1994, using new technologies to speed up access to the data held within the horse racing time systems databases.

To save time and money due to the increasing number of phone calls we receive each day and to make accessing the information required by our clients in an easy to use and efficient manner, this information has now been made available via the internet for the first time.
